The franchised La Quinta by Wyndham location in Hollywood, Florida is seeking a Guest Service Representative (Franchise) to join its team at the La Quinta by Wyndham Ft. Lauderdale - Airport.
The Role
- Guest Service Representative is responsible for attending to the needs of guests, especially during check-in and check-out.
- They are responsible for answering phones, making reservations and meeting guests’ needs throughout their stay.
- Guest Service Representatives handle guests inquiries and complaints and oversees our in-house market.
- As a guest service representative, you will also sign guests up for shuttles and promote our Wyndham Rewards program by enrolling new guests.
What you'll do
- Checking guests in and out
- Providing information to guests about hotel policies, services and amenities
- Responding to requests from guests for assistance and information about the local area (e.g. directions, places to eat, etc.)
- Selling rooms to "walk-in" customers.
- Entering/changing reservation information on the computer system.
- Posting charges to guest accounts.
- Processing payments from guests.
- Making necessary corrections to guest accounts.
- Informing housekeeping department about room status/availability.
- Listening for and responding to guest complaints.
- Operating hotel switchboard or PBX.
- Cleaning the front desk and common areas as needed.
- Maintaining daily logs.
- Balancing shift work and cash drawers.
- Stocking and selling market items
- Signing guests up for daily shuttles for airport and cruise port
- Additional Responsibilities can include any other duties assigned by the Supervisor
You'll be successful if you have
Strong customer service skills, excellent communication abilities, the ability to multitask, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, computer literacy, and the capacity to work calmly under pressure; essentially, you should be organized, detail-oriented, and have great interpersonal skills to effectively manage guest interactions and address their needs.
Required Qualifications/Experience
Must have previous front desk hotel experience
