The franchised Trademark by Wyndham location in Camp Hill, PA is seeking a Equipment Technician (Franchise)  to join its team at the Penn Harris Hotel and Convention Center.

The Role

The Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing and servicing all hotel equipment and systems to ensure the property operates efficiently and safely.  This includes HVAC systems, kitchen appliances, laundry equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, fire/sprinkler systems and general hotel machinery.  This role supports daily operations.

What you'll do

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair hotel equipment including HVAC, refrigeration, laundry machines, kitchen appliances, fire/sprinkler systems and plumbing systems.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks according to manufacturer recommended schedule and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, fire/sprinkler system and plumbing issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensure all equipment operates efficiently and complies with safety and health regulations.
  • Keep accurate, daily records of maintenance work, parts used, and equipment condition.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors or contractors for specialized repairs and warranty services.
  • Maintain tools, spare parts inventory, and workshop cleanliness.

You'll be successful if you have

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, fire/sprinkler and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tool.
  • Proficiency with basic computer knowledge and programs.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • High school diploma or technical certification in electrical, mechanical, or HVAC systems.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in a hotel, resort, or similar environment.
